Coolsafe is a small company (based in Gothenburg, Sweden) that manufactures and sells the Coolsafe Hips protection pants. We try to put care into every part of our business. Our products are characterised by innovative design and excellent quality, and all components are manufactured under fair working conditions.
The idea of a new generation of hip protection pants came to Carina, our founder, when she met with various kinds of hip protection pants through her work. She saw that there was a need for a different kind of pants. One that offered both protection and comfort, was soft but still let air through. Carina got together with some experts in the field and eventually came up with Coolsafe Hips – soft and ventilated hip protection pants, that keeps you both safe and comfortable.
A hip fracture is a serious consequence of osteoporosis, and constitutes a major public health problem worldwide. Through Coolsafe Hips we offer hip protection that is both safe and comfortable. In doing so we hope to convince more people of wearing this type of protective gear, thus reducing the number of hip fractures.
In a recent study by Ulrica Bergström at Umeå university, it is estimated that the number of  people with ostheoporosis will have doubled by the year 2030. The cost of a hip fracture, today is 250 000 SEK, according to the same study, and these figures speak for themselves. This is a serious indicator that cannot be neglected, the problem needs to be dealt with, and this by means of prevention rather than cure.  To read the report, follow the link below.
